The meeting did not go quite as planned - my live CD containing Ubuntu (with
GNOME) did not boot properly. However, I did have a back-up plan. I
presented on OpenOffice.org, which went fairly smoothly. We had one new
person attend today's meeting and one (a CPCC student) introduced himself at
the end.

There is still interest in basic intros to GNOME, Bash, and other software.
So I propose that we continue working through basic intro-type discussions
on Saturday mornings, but Nick (the CPCC student) is going to try to make
the Tuesday evening sessions and wants to learn his way around Bash. So
basics on Tuesday evenings ain't a bad idea, either.

I finally registered Bill, who has attended a couple of meetings and issued
cards to him and Charles. Since Nick did not actually attend the meeting,
he didn't qualify for membership, but I encouraged him to join the e-mail
list and sign up on the website.

Cheers!
Don
