This is wonderful news Joe, and I commend you for your diligence in seeing this matter through. Once we have this preliminary step behind us, our club will be be better defined and able to pursue new directions. We all appreciate your efforts, Joe. Good work: CharLUG has a future.

a North Carolina Nonprofit corporation, and officially Charlotte Linux
User Group, Inc. Articles of Incorporation were filed with the Secretary
of State's office and we received confirmation that they were accepted
on June 4, 2007.
This is only the first step on the road to tax-exempt nonprofit status but
it is a big first step that has been a long time coming. Now that the 
ball is rolling watch for more organizational news over the next weeks 
  and months.
