If anyone wants to see KDE in action, they should have a look at PCLinuxOS 2007. This finely wrought OS is officially out of its beta stage now, and is ready for your Desktop. With the addition of two packages via its Synaptic Package Manager, PCLOS does everything. Those extra packages are win32codecs and libdvdcss. The installation disk is also a live CD. Move over, Ubuntu, make room for PCLinuxOS 2007.

Although we didn't have an official topic, we have a Windows guy in our midst who attended today, and wanted to see KDE, since he uses GNOME. I gave a general tour of KDE, using my Debian Etch system. That literally took up the whole meeting, and I think was fairly interesting for everyone.
