How do you boot a speaker? ;)
I'm Pierre. I first encountered Unix in the early 80's; one of the first
things I did was type "cat", which on an Apple ][ means "catalog", and then
ask for help when it just sat there. I have been running Linux since Red Hat
5.2. I've run Red Hat, Mandrake, Source Mage, and Ubuntu. I run my mail
server, web server, name server, and time server (the last of which I have to
get back up).
I've been in CharLUG since the Rev. Krusty days. We met then in Webkorner's
office near Southpark Mall. (Webkorner now has an office in the building next
to where I work.) I've presented PostScript and a few other things. I'd like
to present LilyPond but need some help. I come to the Tuesday meetings
(actually I don't come, I work there). I came to the Saturday meetings for a
while, but decided I'd rather not miss church.
I write mathematical programs. In my spare time I'm doing these:
A program to draw a fractal, all of whose approximations are smooth
concatenations of arcs.
A program to figure the best way to offset a lattice.
A program that tests the accuracy of multiplying by (3+4i)/5 hundreds of
millions of times.
Pierre
