[Charlug] A more pro-active website

Sometimes, we have over 100 visitors to the CharLUG website.  At this point, our website may be the best tool for increasing membership.  We should more aggressively and openly solicit membership.  Maybe have an icon, a pointing finger, We Want You (to Join CharLUG). Greet the anonymouse visitor, try to get him to come to a meeting. Howdy Stranger!
   
  We could also solicit visitors for donations of unused computers. Even junk cases with motherboards, maybe we can make a few computers from a pile of refuse. Play it up like in this article:

  People and businesses donate computers all the time, without expecting or receiving a tax break. It is illegal to dump computers at the curbside, like a big fine if enforced. People just want to get rid of it. How can they know we want their old stuff if we dont tell them?  Play it up as an environmental thing.  Save the planet.
