[Charlug] Elections In April

Hey all,

I think that we should seriously consider holding elections in April.  We
want to do the LTSP class in March, and we'll try to get that in order.  I
don't want business issues interfering with a class.  So let's plan for
elections to be held in April.  Since we now have 2 groups, we'll need to
decide how to hold the elections fairly.  I suggest we allow voting at both
meetings that month, and tally the votes at the 2nd meeting.  The only other
option is for everyone to sacrifice and come to one meeting.  That would
lead to debate over which meeting to hold elections in.  I also think that
at least one officer needs to come from each meeting group, so that we'll be
more likely to have an officer at each meeting.

Nominations were cast for chair back in December/January, but we should cast
all nominations starting in March.  Please consider contributing to the LUG
by running for one of the officer positions.  Yes, it can be a pain in the
neck, but it can also be fun - much depends on you.  I would like to
re-emphasize my previous point that the LUG cannot be run by one or two
people.  It takes all of us to make it work.
