Thanx, Jason. 

I disabled selinux and suddenly things started working. 

FPT & HTTP work as expected. SSH is still not usable, but not an issue as I can use VNC instead.

My next challenge is going to be getting Apache to work w/ PHP5, MySQL, etc. I'll be back if I run into issues there.
