We had about 13 participants at this meeting. Great turnout!
Mark Hamrick presented on using Puppet to mange workstations. It is great to see how Puppet is being used to manage systems other than servers. Mark has graciously provided his slide deck, which is attached below.
We will take December off since the holiday season is busy for many. Our next meeting will be on January 15th.
We discussed upcoming presentations. James Lloyd volunteered to present on Haskell in January. Mark Hamrick will talk about his Raspberry Pi experimentation in February. Also, Jason Edgecombe said he could do a short intro to git in January or February. We are going to try to pre-announce presentations a bit better in the future.
The group had a lively discussion about tracking down Java app related memory leaks and best practices for deployment and testing.
